Robin Dawn G. Afton

Robin Afton is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist with over 15 years of post graduate experience in the mental health field. Her experience includes direct counseling to children and families in the Tidewater community through Intensive In-Home Services, Outpatient Mental Health Counseling, and Group Counseling within a hospital setting. In addition, this experience includes administrative/supervisory experience within a community-based services agency and as a Community Faculty member responsible for teaching, supervising, and research oversight at the graduate level. She has experience with organizational development and situational leadership strategies, and balancing the clinical and financial operations of a community-based services agency. She has also been responsible for budgeting and the development of policies and procedures, including quality assurance practices.
