Life-Work Integration: An essential Competency in Medical Education
Life/Work Integration is not the same as work/life balance. In work/life balance, one leaves work at work and home life at home, but this really doesn’t work. Work and home issues invariably intrude upon each other. Life/Work is an essential competency in the academic medicine environment and must be thought about differently. Dr. Chatterjee discusses how best to pursue a Life/Work balance across the different domains of our lives.
