PRN (as needed) employees can explore various opportunities and perform in a variety of assignments across the EVMS Medical Group (EVMSMG). The Program and Process
All employees hired as part of the PRN Staffing Services Program become part of an on-call employee pool. Departments in the EVMS Medical Group will submit a request for on-call services for a specific position or positions. Human Resources will review the pool of approved candidates and contact potential candidates regarding the assignment. Candidates who have not worked with EVMSMG before must be interviewed by the hiring supervisor and meet all EVMS pre-employment requirements. If selected by the hiring supervisor for an assignment, more detailed information about the assignment and compensation will be provided.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), EVMSMG temporary employees who work 30+ hours a week during the standard 12-month measurement period (May to May of each year) will be eligible for employer-provided health coverage (CDHP only). EVMS monitors hours to determine if temporary staff qualify. You will be notified if you are eligible for health coverage.
