Vaccination
Getting vaccinated and staying up to date on your COVID-19 vaccine continues to be the best way to protect yourself from a serious illness from COVID-19. We strongly encourage, but no longer require, employees and students to be vaccinated and boosted.
Faculty, staff, residents and students assigned to other facilities must follow the vaccine policies of those facilities, including being fully vaccinated or boosted if required.

Reporting Vaccination to EVMS Occupational Health
Once vaccinated, it is important to report your vaccination status to Occupational Health. EVMS follows all state and federal privacy laws and the information obtained through this verification process is confidential and will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Please only provide documentation that verifies you have been vaccinated and do not include any other health related information.
Faculty and staff must submit their documentation by uploading images of their required documents into the EVMS VAX Portal. Please contact EVMSHR@evms.edu with portal difficulties or if you make an error that needs to be corrected after, you have submitted your documents.
Please do not make duplicate submissions in the portal. Any other employee questions about this process need to be directed to Human Resources at schenkmr@evms.edu.
All documentation submitted must be legible and include your name, birthdate and a copy of the vaccination record.
