Combined Internal Medicine & Geriatrics Residency
After completing the four-year Combined Internal Medicine & Geriatrics Residency, graduates are eligible for board certification in Internal Medicine and added qualifications in Geriatric Medicine.
The Dermatology residency is an accredited three-year program that leads to eligibility for certification by the American Board of Dermatology.

Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency
Obstetrics & Gynecology residents benefit from in-depth exposure to high-risk obstetrics, diagnostic ultrasound techniques, research opportunities and our robotic curriculum.
Ophthalmology residents learn to treat an array of ocular pathology, are trained in ophthalmic surgical procedures and have opportunities to explore subspecialties in a variety of clinical settings.
The Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery program offers extensive clinical experience and dedicated time for research. Our faculty are recognized leaders in their respective fields of subspecialty.
The Pediatrics residency is a three-year program. Residents train at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Virginia’s only freestanding, full-service pediatric hospital, which boasts 206 beds.
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency
The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency is designed to provide a balanced inpatient and outpatient experience and helps residents develop specialized interests early on in their training.
The Podiatry residency encompasses podiatric medicine and surgery in a 36-month program.
The Psychiatry residency provides diverse training experiences in psychiatric care at multiple training sites. Residents conduct research in addition to clinical practice.
The Radiology residency is a four-year program based at three major teaching hospitals. Residents benefit from hands-on experience, direct contact with faculty and a supportive environment.
EVMS Surgery residents receive the highest caliber of general surgery training at five area hospitals, including Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the only Level I trauma center in the region.
For over 20 years, the Urology residency has had a 100 percent pass rate for the American Board of Urology. Residents work through a diverse range of cases and have opportunities to conduct research.
