Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of disease, illness and injury. The Graduate Epidemiology Certificate is a 15-credit hour program designed to provide the learner with an understanding of the concepts of epidemiology used in public health practice. The certificate is intended to provide the concepts, methods and tools needed for the assessment of health situations and trends of population groups.

Educational Format
The educational program includes 15 total credit hours where classes are taught in three terms per year (fall, spring, summer). All students are paired with an academic adviser.
Classes are taught online and on campus in the evenings to accommodate working professionals. There may be unforeseen circumstances such as low registration numbers and COVID-19 where residential (on campus) delivery mode sections will be moved into an online delivery mode section.

Financial Aid
Federal financial aid may be available for any term in which a student is enrolled at least half-time, subject to timely completion of the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
