For six months, from July to December, fellows are supported through experiential learning while on clinical rotations and with comprehensive academic opportunities.
Academic learning
- Weekly in-person meetings that include lectures on pediatric urgent care specific topics with time for discussion
- Guided asynchronous learning through evidence-based journal articles, podcasts, and video presentations
- Assessments including traditional exams, reflective learning assignments, and collaborative feedback
- Skills-based workshops including simulation medicine
Clinical Rotations
- Pediatric Urgent Care- 3 months
- Pediatric Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma Center) 1 month
- Pediatric Orthopedics- 2 weeks
- Pediatric Sports Medicine- 2 weeks
- Pediatric Dermatology- 2 weeks
