William & Mary Mason School of Business and EVMS are proud to offer a dual MD/MBA degree program, which will provide medical students with:
- an integrated managerial approach to business disciplines including finance, accounting, organizational behavior, operations management, economics, leadership and ethics, marketing and data analytics
- case-based learning to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- a team environment to promote effective working in interdisciplinary environments
- a comprehensive project designed to provide real-world applicability
- an MBA degree from William & Mary School of Business and an MD degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School
Dual program structure
Years 1-2: EVMS Curriculum
Year 3: Clerkships
Year 4: MBA Curriculum (following Step 2 exams)
- Complete 48 semester hours in four semesters (12 months), beginning at the end of clerkships in July and ending the following June
- Attend first- and fourth-semester courses at William & Mary's Peninsula Center in Newport News
- Join full-time MBA students on William & Mary's main campus in Williamsburg for your second and third semesters
- Work on a joint applied project involving EVMS and William & Mary faculty
