Incoming students must provide documentation of proof of immunity to:
- Measles
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
Proof of immunity is either documentation of two vaccines given or a lab report showing a positive IgG Antibody Titer.
Hepatitis B
Proof of immunity to Hepatitis B via a positive Hepatitis B Surface Antibody Titer (Quantitative titer only) is required.
Tetanus/diphtheria/accelular pertussis (Tdap)
Documentation of a Tdap immunization after age 11 is required. If Tdap was given greater than 10 years prior to the program start date, then you must also submit documentation of a Tetanus-diphtheria (Td) booster immunization given less than 10 years prior to the program start date.
Tuberculosis
Documentation of a two-step tuberculosis skin test (TST, also known as PPD) or an Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) blood test (either Quantiferon Gold or T-Spot) within six months prior to the program start date. Persons who have received the BCG vaccination must have an IGRA blood test within six months prior to the program start date.
For persons who have had a previous positive TST/PPD, or a positive IGRA blood test, the following are required: A chest X-ray report within the last 12 months, documentation of evaluation for treatment with antibiotic prophylaxis and completion of the EVMS TB Symptom Surveillance Questionnaire.
