Infectious Disease Fellowship

Become an outstanding inpatient and outpatient consultant in infection control, treatment and prevention as an EVMS Infectious Disease fellow.

What sets us apart?

Infectious Disease fellows at EVMS have opportunities to:

  • Provide inpatient care in a variety of settings, including one of Virginia's top medical centers, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital
  • See patients weekly in continuity care and ambulatory clinics, including a half-day clinic focused on HIV medicine
  • Study global health, transplant infectious diseases, hospital epidemiology and HIV/AIDS care, treatment and coinfection with other diseases

Work-life balance is important during your fellowship, and we are committed to supporting our fellows throughout their time at EVMS. Through EVMS' Wellness Works program, our residents and fellows receive the same wellness resources as our faculty and staff.

In addition, our Resident Wellness program for residents and fellows gives you access to support groups, after-hours counseling services, running clubs, leadership coaching and more.
