Thomas J. Manser, MD
Internal Medicine, Primary CareThomas Manser, MD FACP is the Oscar E. Edwards Distinguished Professor of Internal Medicine and Division Chief for General Internal Medicine at EVMS.
He is from Jackson, Mich., and received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan prior to attending the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He graduated with his MD in 1981, followed by an internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Manser completed his Internal Medicine training at EVMS in 1984 and has been a full-time faculty member since then.
At EVMS, Dr. Manser has been recognized for his teaching, patient care and professionalism. His clinical focus is ambulatory medicine, and he has a large panel of primary care patients often spanning multiple generations in the same family. The Manser Fund for Excellence in Internal Medicine was established to recognize his outstanding patient care and provides a stipend to a deserving EVMS student planning a career in Internal Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Manser enjoys cycling, reading and spending time with his family.
