EVMS Rheumatology is involved in patient care, education and clinical research for patients with inflammatory arthritis and other connective tissue disorders. Dr. Roger Lidman and rheumatologists from several area private practice groups contribute their time to educating our students and residents. Many are involved in outpatient clinical research studies, primarily evaluating the efficacy and safety of new therapeutic interventions.
Residents and medical students work with attending physicians to evaluate and manage patients with rheumatic disorders in inpatient settings at area hospitals and in outpatient settings at private practices and at the Sentara Ambulatory Care Center.
