Over the course of the three-year residency, all residents are required to design and conduct an individual, IRB-approved research project. This research is then presented at the end of residency training at the Annual Internal Medicine Research Day.
In addition to research, all residents prepare abstracts for state and national conferences. We are well-represented at the annual ACP National meetings. Multiple individual residents have presented their research at relevant national subspecialty meetings, and the department is very supportive of these endeavors.
