Cancer Center faculty member publishes article in the Journal of Neuroimmune Pharmacology.

Woong-Ki Kim, Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Cell Biology and a faculty member in the Leroy T. Canoles Jr. Cancer Research Center, authored the article “Macrophages but not astrocytes harbor HIV DNA in the brains of HIV-1-infected aviremic individuals on suppressive antiretroviral therapy.”, published online on the 7th of September 2016 in the Journal of Neuroimmune Pharmacology. Allen Ko, a 3rd year medical student, is the lead author of the article, and Julian Hattler, a research assistant of Dr. Kim, co-authored the article.
