Dr. Schroeder received her medical degree from The University of Virginia in Charlottesville. After joining the US Navy, Dr. Schroeder completed her Otolaryngology residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Schroeder is the recipient of numerous military honors including the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation. After 21 years of service, she retired as a Captain ans was pleased to join the faculty of EVMS.
Dr. Schroeder is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. Her clinical interests and skills include: rhinosinusitis, nasal obstruction, otitis media, hearing loss, tonsillitis, neck masses, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, hearing loss, tonsillitis, sleep apnea surgery, larynx disorders/hoarseness and facial and ear deformity.
