Internal Department Funds Available for Faculty and Resident Research
The Pediatrics Research Committee is excited to announce it is now accepting proposals for internal grant funding from the Pediatrics Research Fund.
The Department of Pediatrics recognizes that research is a critical component of our mission to care for the health of our community. The Pediatrics Research Fund is an internal mechanism for supporting Pediatrics investigators in conducting all areas of pediatric research, including basic science research, educational research, and research that advances clinical care and/or community health. Pilot projects with an aim to provide data for obtaining additional outside funding are especially competitive. Any faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, or any Pediatrics Resident with a Faculty member sponsor, is eligible to apply.
There are two categories of awards: (1) small requests up to $5000, which are accepted on a rolling basis; and (2) larger requests up to $25,000 which are accepted in response to a call for proposals released once per year, usually in the fall. Number of awards will vary based on availability of funding and number of competitive applications.
