Your application must include all of the following items:
- A completed Summer Scholars Program Application form (see below).
- Official School Transcripts. Undergraduate, Graduate and Professional school transcripts must be received directly from the Registrar where you attended school. Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 (no exceptions). EVMS medical students must provide undergraduate and graduate program transcripts but do not need to provide EVMS medical school transcripts.
- Two letters of recommendation. At least one letter must be written by a professor. Letters from family members and personal friends will not be accepted.

All application components must be in our hands by the application deadline, Monday, Jan. 29, 2024.
Allow at least seven days for delivery by the U.S. Postal Service. You will receive an email when all components of your application have been received. All application materials become property of Summer Scholars and cannot be returned.
All Summer Scholars, and especially EVMS students, are strongly encouraged to present their Summer Scholars project at EVMS Research Day . EVMS Research Day is typically held on a Friday in mid-October.
We accept applications from International students who are 1) currently enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or professional programs in the United States and 2) have a visa which permits them to work for the duration of our Program. We cannot accept OPT students.
