Call for innovative ideas to celebrate Choosing Wisely Day
With the goal of encouraging conversations between patients and physicians to increase quality care, EVMS is hosting the third annual Choosing Wisely Day on Friday, Jan. 29. This year's festivities will be held virtually.
Choosing Wisely is an initiative of the American Board of Internal Medicine that aims to empower patients to ask questions about their care and to encourage physicians to consider all of the data before ordering unnecessary tests.
The virtual event will begin with a keynote discussion from Amit K. Pahwa, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Afterwards, students will present their research posters on topics related to high-value care and compete in an interactive competition-style innovation contest.
Register to compete or attend the event.
