Pediatrics residents run mock codes
The Sentara Center for Simulation & Immersive Learning at EVMS works together with Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters to bring mock-code simulations to pediatrics residents. A code alerts hospital staff to a particular type of emergency, and the mock version of it, with Sim Jr. as patient, allows the health care team to practice for a critical event without real-life consequences.
