Download Adobe Shockwave Player and Adobe Flash Player for free. These players will be needed to view some presentations and animations.
Some of the videos and animations that are used in the courses are only viewable via Quicktime. Make sure to get the right version for your PC. Downloading the free player will meet your needs.

Some lectures may require the use of Windows Media Player. Make sure to download the correct version ot the software for your operating system.
This is the best zip compression utility available. It will allow you to compress multiple files to a single smaller file.
Download Google SketchUp and create, modify and share 3D models for free. Note that the Pro version is not the free version.
Software You May Need to Purchase
Each student must have (or purchase a copy of) Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Student pricing is available through EVMS or Academic Super Store.
Computer Accessories
There are two accessories required for real-time interaction in the Adobe Connect online classroom: A webcam and a headset with microphone. You should not use an internal computer microphone. You must have a headset. This is the equipment we recommend:
