Joseph K.Han, MD, FARS, FAAOA

Dr. Han is the Medical Director for the Division of Allergy at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Han has completed a fellowship in Rhinology and Allergy at Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Han holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Washington, a Medical Degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, and completed an Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is involved with many national organizations including the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Rhinologic Society, and the Guideline Taskforce. His main scientific research project evaluates the impact of allergy and asthma on sinusitis and has given many national and international scientific presentations on this topic. His other clinical interest other than allergic rhinitis includes nasal obstruction, sinusitis, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, and nasal/skull base tumors. Our Division of Allergy provides a comprehensive management of allergic rhinitis that includes drug therapy, various forms of immunotherapy, and even surgical management of allergic rhinitis.
