Canoles Cancer Center director elected as chair of EDRN Prostate and Urinary Cancers Research Group.

O. John Semmes, Ph.D., Director of the Leroy T. Canoles Jr. Cancer Research Center, has been elected as Chair of the Prostate and Urinary Cancers Research Group within the National Cancer Institute’s Early Detection Research Network. In this role, Dr. Semmes is responsible for network-wide collaboration of research impacting prostate and urinary cancers, and serves on the Executive Committee representing the programs efforts in discovery, validation and clinical trials.
